Review on KeylessOption GQ43VT14T Keyless Entry Remote Control Car Key Fob Replacement – Effortless Car Access by Michael Miles

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits my 2003 Toyota Sienna CE

Works great on my 2003 Toyota Sienna CE. The included instructions didn't work (minor typo) but I was able to easily find programming instructions online. Worked on first try, no problems. Oddly enough, when I called Toyota and gave them my VIN number, they told me that this car was NOT equipped with a keyless remote. I was worried I would have to buy an aftermarket receiver, but when I tried the programming cycle the machine said "done"! That means the original buyer didn't want to pay the $100 to $200 the dealer was asking for. to add an option. This is a quick and easy "upgrade" that increases traders' profits, which means they only need to program the key, they don't need to install anything. Importantly, despite Toyota's claims, the keyless receiver was factory installed. So if your car doesn't have a keyless remote, check your car's manual online and start the programming cycle. If your car has electric locks, the receiver is probably already there! I wish I knew this for my old Honda Civic. The only downside is that the kit didn't include a tiny split ring as shown in the photo. The hole is a bit small for my big fat keychain.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
