Finally, a poorly designed Lexus key fob will break as a result of normal wear and tear or a fall, resulting in cracks in the bodywork. Eventually, once this happens, the key fob will just fall apart when you try to start the engine. You must keep the internal parts of the Lexus Fob; a metal key and a small plastic case containing the battery. They fit easily into this new key case. This key it replaces comes with all the parts you need to get the job done, including plastic standoffs that keep the metal key snug to the case. While I can't comment on how durable or how long this shell will last, for less than $10 it's a lot cheaper than if Lexus made it for $99!
