The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the cat house was too small, even for my smaller cat. I've only had it since December and my cat has already snapped. To be honest he's a Maine Coon so I'm not sure if it was because the scratching post wasn't strong enough or if my cat is damn strong. Otherwise, this is a good entry-level scratching post with an excellent price-performance ratio. My big cat Odin can hop and hop and just wiggles a little. The black carpet on it is jet black and very soft. Very easy to clean, I just use a cat brush and scrape the fur. I also think it looks like something straight out of a Tim Burton movie.
