My cats love this wood, I love the black and white striped design as it fits the theme of my home perfectly. For the price I would say this is a good buy, if you are looking for a tall cheap scratching post I would definitely suggest holding it against a wall although it wobbles a bit but hasn't fallen over. I just hold it against the wall and it doesn't move at all and it's so easy to assemble.
