Like many parents, we bought this monitor and set it up before our baby was born. For now I'm just talking about the setup and features that we can test now, but I'll try to update this review between naps once baby debuts. Miku was well packaged and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow. We had no immediate problems setting up or connecting to our Wi-Fi network. Everything you need to mount the monitor is included - I'm talking more anchors and screws than you might need, a screwdriver, a tape measure and even a pencil to mark the wall. I had no problems logging into the app or connecting like the others, everything went pretty smoothly. Night vision is excellent. It has accurate temperature and humidity reading and was easy to speak into via the mic and has many white noise/beach noise/even gray noise options. Updated review after we've used it consistently: Unfortunately, this camera falls short of most of its surveillance promises. 1) MAIN VIDEO/AUDIO. Our camera is no more than 60cm from our wireless router but as you can see from the attached photos it is having connection issues. The screen goes black and the video is lost but the audio is retained, or the audio is lost but not the video, or both. It's ok to sleep when I'm awake but I don't think it won't turn off at night and my baby is crying and I can't hear anything. For at least $300, the monitor should be able to do that. 2) Breath Monitoring. The reason most parents buy this monitor and some don't is because it promises to make sure your child is still breathing. If this is you, don't buy this monitor. It counts inhaling and exhaling while your baby is outside the cradle (see photo). In addition, if you experience respiratory arrest because you took the baby out of the cradle, it will wait a full 3 minutes to notify you. THREE MINUTES and you have an anoxic brain injury if your child isn't breathing properly. Ridiculous.3) Application functionality. It has an analytics page but it's hard to use - you can't see the exact sleep time (just a small complaint) 4) It will drain your phone's battery, I mean ALLOW. Also, be prepared to pay more for your WiFi every month as you will hit your data limit very, very quickly. 5) Video quality seems good when it works, built-in white noise is a nice feature. Temperature and humidity seem to work well. The two-way microphone works well. 6) It was easy to set up and looked pretty stylish so I left my 2 star review. I just don't trust this monitor for my kid so we will buy another monitor.
