Review on πŸŽ’ Ultimate Protection for MacBook: HEX Collection 15 Inch Backpack by Peter Barrera

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A rare combination of design, functionality and price.

Excellent backpack. I bought this to replace a lost NorthFace backpack that I've had with me since my freshman year of high school (2004). She served me well until I lost her. The only thing my North Face didn't have in this bag was the ability to look good coupled with the casual business attire I wear to work 5 days a week. This bag looks great with jeans or pants. This allows me to preserve my youth (I refuse to carry a briefcase or worse, a messenger bag) without blending in with the crowd proudly wearing sneakers with dress pants on their way to work (come on guys, we don't wear women in heels, buy a good pair of socks and leave your sneakers at home). The iPad sleeve on the front of this bag was particularly important to me. I have an original iPad with a basic case that protects the back and leaves the screen exposed. With the North Face bag, I, MacGyver, slipped the front pocket into the iPad holder and placed a soft cotton cloth over the part where the screen was supposed to rest. Not the most elegant solution, but it was free. The iPad sleeve in this case is lined with soft, iPad-friendly material for both sides of the iPad, for the daredevils who rock the naked iPad. The main compartment has a computer holder and a pocket. Pocket for pens, chargers, etc. I can't imagine taking my 15" MacBook Pro next time, but on this rare occasion, this case will do it with grace. It's not the biggest bag, but for me it's big enough to handle my daily essentials without looking bloated. For $80 this is the best you can get. I still want to get the Tumi Alpha Bravo Day Knox backpack but $300 will have to wait.
