Review on 🧵 Improvement Plus ¼ Inch Piecing Foot - Ideal for Quilting and Topstitching, SA125, Silver by Carol Miller

I'm sitting in front of my Brother XR9500PRW sewing machine and grinning from ear to ear! I've just started sewing a new quilt (my second in life) and after carefully cutting out all the details, I sewed the first three pieces together using the standard sewing foot. I thought, "I can make a 1/4 inch seam; No problem." Wrong! After three pieces, my first block was already about 1/4 inch torn off. *sigh* Well, Friday night I ordered this leg. It arrived this morning (Sunday) and after waiting 20 minutes After reading the instructions and setting up the sewing foot (I spent most of my time figuring out how to set my standard needle position to the center), I put together another set of those three original pieces. Perfect 1/4" stitches! Actually, despite some reviews I read before buying, I found that this foot makes a meager 1/4" seam, so the end result is a really perfect 1/4" seam! I've attached a photo of my first attempt versus my second with this foot. (White tape should be 1/2 inch.) I am very satisfied!
