Think of this coat as a 'lined windbreaker', not a heavy coat or sweater. The coat is lightweight and tailored to fit, so don't expect it to be bulky like a down jacket or stretch sweater. I bought it as a windbreak, not protection from very low temperatures. My dog is 15 pounds with an 18 inch bust and after reading other reviews I ordered up to a 20 inch bust. It fits perfectly and I had no trouble putting it on or taking it off. (The Pawz video has some helpful tips on this.) The integrated leash attachment works well for my dog who isn't very fond of pulling. He seems happy and comfortable so no complaints. I had reservations about buying a black coat. Since my dog has long white hair and sheds a lot, I was pleasantly surprised at how amazingly clean and hair free the outer coat stays. By using quality materials, I agree with others that Pawz needs to reconsider their sizing guidelines.
