This remote does it all including interacting with DVD players, cable boxes and of course TVs. Once you figure out how to program it (takes 5 minutes?) you become an expert and can upload anything in your room to this remote control. The only limitation is that of course it can only manage one type of each device. I have a cable box, my DVD recorder and 2 TVs (from the same company). It's so handy to have a remote control for all of this. In a world where there are fewer and fewer distant options, this one is the keeper.
