Review on ๐ŸŽ Weaver Leather Felt Lined Smart Cinch: Roll Snug Cinch Buckle for Optimal Comfort and Secure Fit by Adam Nikolz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent kink! best in gear

One of our old saddles has had a Weaver Smart cinch leather strap on it for over 4 years since we bought it with the saddle so can't tell how old it really is . Despite this, it is in remarkable condition and shows little signs of wear. The fabrics and the felt look very good. Their patented roller system works really well. You can "feel" how hard you are pulling on the latigo without even tightening it. It seems to give you more control over how hard you pull things. There is no point in cutting your horse in half, as many who teach you how to saddle a horse say. The downside to the materials I noticed was that I thought the buckles and pulleys were stainless steel. I mean it's gonna be sweaty. very, very sweaty. The first one we bought used has clear signs of rust. If it were stainless steel (according to the Weaver website they use "nickel plated hardware") it would greatly reduce the signs of rot. Everything moves and works as it should, so no mechanical issues at the moment, just aesthetics. However, I bought a second one because I really liked the first one. I paid just under $50 and am very glad I bought another one. The reason the rating got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the sticker on the retail material attached to the strap. Made in Taiwan :( Let me explain. Weaver Leather, LLC is based in Mount Hope, Ohio. The retail box says "Designed in Mount Hope, Ohio". I'm sure it will impress a lot of people that it's made in Taiwan MADE is USA but it's not as mentioned above I hope that changes and they can move all their production to the USA and I would definitely recommend it to a friend I have no regrets.
