Let me start by saying that you need some skills to get good results. If your hand doesn't know how to apply a stable foundation with sharp lines around the cuticle, or if your non-dominant hand paints poorly, you will get less than the results you want. My preparation for using this set was as follows. instructions attached. I haven't looked at any online tutorials etc. I pushed back my cuticles, buffed my nail and got to work. I followed the instructions which are nice and detailed. The powder compacts are nice and big and easy to dip in without spilling excess powder. Another set I tried (different brand) had smaller jars and I found I spilled a lot of powder. The packaging is really great (again, better than other brands I've tried). Overall, this is a great starter kit for those looking to try nail extensions. My only problem is microbubbles appearing under the top layer. it looks almost like glitter except it's not permanent. It's definitely not glitter. I'm pretty sure this is user error so I'm not splicing stars. I love the deep red for fall and the champagne gold is so pretty.
