Review on 🚿 Polished Chrome Kingston Brass CCK6171 Vintage Shower Combination by Jennifer Irvin

Not for wall mounting and lift spray

Two things mentioned in other reviews. 1) Kingston Brass states that this bracket is only suitable for bathtub mounting, not wall mounting, so you will need to lengthen the components that go into the wall to get the correct thickness. The support team also advised me to buy elbow pads which don't solve the problem properly. This is advertised incorrectly and the company does not offer the right solution either. Our plumber had to find the right components to increase the length of the components that go into the wall. 2) The shower head rises with the water pressure. We spent half a day tightening a set screw behind a wearable component, but we couldn't see the screw type, and despite everything we tried (cross, flat, hex, torx) we couldn't get it to work. Instead, I unscrewed the vertical component above the hand gauge (on the telescoping piece), lifted the plastic bushing and brass bushing, inserted the wire into the plastic bushing as a spacer, and then tightened everything back up. This created enough friction to keep the shower head from rising. It's a hack, but it works. All in all a great device and I'm glad I have it now as everything works but it's such a hassle I will never order from them again.
