When the dealership charged about $380 to program a key (including a blank key) for a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, it was time to explore other options. I found these key blanks from Revain and later from a local auto mechanic who was willing to program both blanks and cut hidden key blades for well under half what the dealer wanted in a key. It was March, just as social distancing was being implemented. Since then the buttons have worked without any problems. They come with batteries. Update 4/9/2021: Around early to mid-January, after about nine months of use, the Drivestar key fob that I was using as the primary key for this car suddenly generated a "bad key". a warning on the dash and he wouldn't start the van. Then sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't (sometimes I just had to turn the key 180 degrees), but lately this key fob hasn't worked most of the time. Another key fob that I used primarily as a spare still works perfectly. Drivestar informed me that their products are only guaranteed for 12 months (from the date of purchase). So when I notified them in late February/early March, it was too late to ask the supplier for help. I intend to replace the bad fob but it may not be the Drivestar brand.
