Excellent for blocking most of the light to allow eyes to 'breathe'. However, when purchasing, consider the size of the frame. I bought them to wear several different pairs of my mum's (plastic) frames after surgery and didn't take into account the cat eye frames of one pair and the thicker/wider temples of the sunglasses. I could still put the patches on, but they're definitely stuck. If the frames were bigger, they wouldn't fit. I'm not sure what caused it either, but some of the patches were starting to "wear off" on the side facing the eye and the "flying" fabrics were causing some eye irritation. I was careful not to touch this area when patching the frame so as not to ruin the fabric, but it's possible her lashes touched the fabric without her knowledge. I replaced them with extras in the pack but they are gone now and my mom has decided to only wear an eye patch for the rest of her recovery. All in all a great idea and not a bad option, just wish it was in a different fabric that doesn't fray or fly away.
