Excellent Safe Educational Toy

I bought this toy for my 5 month old granddaughter so she has had little time to play with this toy but I will tell you what I like about it. I bought a FP toy for my sons which they loved but had to be careful when they were younger to make sure they didn't fall on a hard plastic bar or even a harder plastic base. The Lamaze handle is covered with sponge foam. There is a rigid part at the very top of the bar, but it doesn't pose any safety issues because of the layers of protection. The hard part allows the child to gnaw and chew on the top without damaging the mouth, gums or teeth. There are colorful chew ribbons on the top, but the ribbons on my toy are sewn together very tightly and don't fan out like the featured toy. A pole with black and white stripes and black and white dots at the top stimulates the little ones. The bottom ring does not come loose or rustle like the other four rings. Each colorful ring has a different material texture. What I love most about rings is that there is no right or wrong way to put rings together. When my boys were little they got frustrated with FP rings because they had to walk to put the rings on. With this toy, when the child is still small, the child can enjoy the achievement simply by putting the ring on the bar and not having to worry about any order. As the child gets a little older, they can learn the correct order to place the rings. Great educational toy.
