Review on Orolay Womens Down Jacket Black Outdoor Recreation by Jacob Diego

I went to New York the week after Christmas and knew it must be one of the coldest times of the year (15 degrees + wind) so I ordered this coat to stay warm as we walk a lot to work would go outside. It was delivered exactly on the promised date, so I received it just in time for our trip. The coat fits perfectly (I'm 5ft 5in, 124, size medium, fits perfectly with shirt and sweater underneath). It was a nice length (reached down to my legs) so I was very warm. It was really comfortable and never felt or looked bulky or bulky. The zip zips up nice and high so my neck was warm (although I wore a scarf, which helped too)! The hood was great - just wish there was one Button or fastener connecting the two sides of the hood under the neck to keep it more secure in the wind. I had a ribbed beanie underneath due to the extreme cold and the hood held up well with that too. The only issue I have with this coat (and it was big) was lightning (but read this review on this topic to the end). It was the hardest thing for me to close and I constantly needed help to close it. The two zippers on the bottom of the coat should snap into place to prevent the zipper from snapping easily. maybe because it was a cheap plastic zipper or maybe because it was broken, I don't know. I felt like a four year old kid who needed an adult's help to zip up. It was very frustrating to leave our hotel or restaurant and not be able to button our own coat. Even my husband and kids had trouble getting it to work. After 7 or 8 tries it finally worked but I was very frustrated that this coat which I absolutely LOVED had to be returned because I couldn't close it without help! I liked the coat so much I was almost willing to put up with a bad zipper, but I just couldn't justify keeping a new coat that was already "broken". When I got home I sadly went to Revain and submitted a return request and explained what the problem was with that horrible zipper. However, since returns (and even shipping) are free, I decided to order another coat, hoping I might just have gotten a lemon. Well, much to my delight, the replacement coat now had a metal zip which worked perfectly! Absolutely no problems tearing or opening so the coat is now perfect. So happy I ordered it again and so happy they replaced the zipper with a metal one (and didn't increase the price). I would highly recommend this coat but make sure the coat you order has a metal zipper! I hope that applies to all coats now, but I'm just letting you know from my experience. Also, my second coat had a bit of an odd smell when I first got it, but it will definitely fade over time.
