Review on Aisin DLT 020 Door Lock Actuator by Josue Zepeda

This actuator/latch latched my ES350, my lock cable (round ball end) popped out of the latch and snapped the lever back very loosely In the Latch the door was very difficult to open and I was finally able to open it, I didn't want to try to open the door again like that. The electric motor hasn't failed yet, I decided to replace it with this Aisin part, it works fine. Some useful tips for people who complain about repeated drive failures. Disable the automatic locking and unlocking functions when you put the car in gear and turn it off. These features are cool, but they wear out the actuators. I'm set to only open the driver's front door instead of all 4 doors, when I touch the driver's door handle I touch the driver's rear handle to open all 4. This adds years to the locking actuators. I disabled the auto steering and seats for the same reason. If you want you can add a save set to the door settings and have an easy exit when you press a button like 2 or 3 instead of doing it immediately when getting in from the car, again a cool feature but those seat and steering column motors are not cheap. It's less than half the price of Lexus dealer parts at a decent online discount, but they're still Aisin parts.
