I love my 2021 Passat RLine. The interior is black leather and nice, but I also live in Texas and the heat is no joke. Despite my window covering, my seats got very hot, and if you're wearing shorts or a skirt, it looks like you could burn yourself. I've bought covers made of other materials in the past (never very expensive but around $50-70 front and back) for my other cars and they've never held up or deteriorated over time. I don't think it will be a problem for them. First, the setup was relatively easy and I did it myself. You have to read the instructions once to make things easier, but they are pretty self-explanatory. They went on smoothly and fit sooooo well. If you sit on the passenger or driver side, you honestly can't tell these aren't my original seats. The only downside, front or rear, is part of the headrest. They have pockets on the back of both seats, which I like because I was afraid I'd lose them when I close my seats. The material is pleasant, it can be vacuumed very well. I went to South Padre and the sand vacuumed up with no problem and didn't get on the original seat and I also have a cat and any cat hair that got on the seat didn't stick and vacuumed up easily too. My boyfriend also likes chips, not leftover chips. I also didn't have any of the static issues I've had with other car seat covers. I've been wearing them for about 3 months and so far there hasn't been a single shift on either side. The leather parts get hot but most of them are fabric so my legs and thighs have never burned since I received them so I think this is my final win as that was my main goal when purchasing. They are expensive and only fit the passenger and driver. But I don't have more than one passenger at a time, so I don't need back seats. But as great as I love these front ones, I would have no hesitation in buying the rear ones from the same seller. 100% worth the money when you think about it. I've bought so many over the years for my 2008 Lancer and 2018 Outlander and I always ended up throwing them away or taking them off because they fell apart after a few months, they were ridiculously difficult to put on and STAY or I'd have to do it Cut holes to make them work. I would even have to take them off to clean them because cat hair, dirt and dust got on the original seats and couldn't be easily vacuumed off the covers. I don't have a problem that they came with my car or were made for them! No issues with hidden controls, the seat buckles are clearly visible and fit so damn well I didn't have to adjust at all. The bonus is that they look beautiful. I'll update them in a few months as we get through the winter to see if they're as good.
