Doesn't stay in Steering wheels and accessories

The distance around the star on the steering wheel is crooked. These parts are missing, so the corners keep popping out. (I heated everything with a hair dryer and they still didn't hold). The only way I could see to hold these things in place would be with super glue. I'm not sure if I want that.
