very happy with cinegrey 5d

I bought cinegrey 5d. Exusting reviews tell the story pretty well. I can confirm that there were creases in the material due to the way it was rolled up for shipping. This product needs stretching. I used a fixed screen bezel and stretched the material 1-2 inches which removed all of the wrinkles. If you're using a motorized screen, I doubt the side cables are tight enough to iron out the creases. I would only use this screen for fixed applications where you can drag stuff in sufficient quantity. Overall, the material did wonders for my image - especially the contrast. Came with Gain 1.1, white, PVC screen. This material is much darker, so blacks look MUCH better. The material also has reflective properties - a similar effect to road signs when driving in the bright lights of your car. So while the screen is much dimmer, the bright areas are actually about 10% brighter than on my old screen. The combination of deeper blacks and more pop in highlights is a big improvement for me. As far as ambient light cancellation goes, I'm not sure what's really going on here. my ambient light is less noticeable because the screen is dark gray instead of white. in other words, because the contrast is so much better on this screen, the ambient light has less of an impact on the overall picture. pan left or right across the screen. I believe that the reflective coating is not applied entirely evenly during the manufacturing process. The effect is only noticeable when looking for it, but that may bother some people. Not exactly a minus, but I had to reconfigure my color due to a gray screen instead of white.
