These braces, if you can even call them that, just aren't very good. No compression really keeps your toe from flexing up. This can prevent the toe from bending upwards when you use the detachable strap to wrap it around your middle toe, slip it over your injured toe and secure it on the other side, but that's not on the books Instructions. Very thin material, so if you stub your toe while waddling due to a toe injury on the turf, it won't provide enough insulation. If you've just injured a toe, you'd be better off getting an Ace compression bandage and hiking shoes to help it heal. After healing you could probably use this brace, but since it's just a poor brace overall I would only suggest using sports tape and watching YouTube videos on how to bandage your toe for proper support.
