This works damn well as a scissor or lightweight camera arm. I equipped my camera with a Logic Brio 4K webcam and a small ring light. The arm can support more weight than I expected. It actually had my iPhone attached to it, along with the Brio, and it held up. One item that you will need to replace almost immediately, or purchase at the same time, is the Heil Sound WM-1 vertical surface mount for Heil rods and/or the Heil Sound FL-2 permanent handheld flange mount. The attached clamp will break on the first day. I also bought a studio clip from a professional camera store.
