So far so good but a little wobbly

Very happy to be able to use this camera mount with my GoPro Hero 4 for streaming. It was easy to set up and seems quite stable. It's a bit wonky though, as some others have said. There's nothing to level it out or stabilize it so it won't wobble after you've moved it or banged it on a table. I think it will still be fine in my setup as I've attached it to a separate spreadsheet and not one I'll be actively working on. I'll update this once I actually use it live.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Big and bulky

LOVE IT. SAVES TIME!

When you need a rig that can hold your DSLR, camera or webcam and you need to set it up in multiple locations it's quick and easy, this is IT. I use it in my studio for drawing, computers, live streaming and more - and it's STREETCHHHHESS so I can easily place it where I need it without having to reposition it on another table! (He can basically "follow" me anywhere since I have 4 different seating positions in my studio). It can reach far enough to accommodate angles that can work anywhere I'm

Generally not for medium or heavy cameras

The item itself, well what condition is it in. Even the A6500 with lens sometimes starts to slip as it is not strong enough to keep it in place for long. nevertheless, sometimes it starts to slip. If you have a heavy system, like a DSLR/mirrorless camera with a heavy lens, I suggest you look elsewhere. For me, this was mostly a pain to use and set up. When you finally get it in working position, even a light touch and it takes 20 minutes to put and adjust in place.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I use this to stream my webcam.

This works damn well as a scissor or lightweight camera arm. I equipped my camera with a Logic Brio 4K webcam and a small ring light. The arm can support more weight than I expected. It actually had my iPhone attached to it, along with the Brio, and it held up. One item that you will need to replace almost immediately, or purchase at the same time, is the Heil Sound WM-1 vertical surface mount for Heil rods and/or the Heil Sound FL-2 permanent handheld flange mount. The attached clamp will…

great for overhead video

After months of looking for something to record overhead video with, I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing. I found similar devices commercially that would allow me to shoot overhead video, but they were too expensive, too small, and not as flexible as this arm. It's solid and well made. I've received compliments from those I've introduced. The different positions this hand can take is amazing. You can get any angle you can imagine. I used to struggle with tripods. It was a…

Fantastic customer service

I took it out of the box today, put it together easily, easy to do, I fixed it to the back of my desk then decided to move it to the front. The bottom part detached leaving the clip stuck on my desk. When I inspected the bolt you could see that it was covered in glue as was the part it was attached to. to ask if they could send me another arm with a camera to try. They sent me a new arm with extra table clamps. I installed a new one today, it seems to be working great. I will update if I…

Unique! the best camera mounts and clips

Goes where no tripod can go! This animal seems to be the only one when friendly. No other is longer, stronger or more versatile. When mounted at standard tabletop height (36"), you can record from the ceiling directly below the ceiling or 1, 2, or 3 feet forward, which is very useful when recording an instructional video for a large project. Of course you can adjust the legs on tripods, but you're limited by the pivot point. Now you're dealing with counterweights, but then you also need a slide

It's amazing until it's NOT!

Just to clarify I HAVE ORDERED 6 MORE OF THEM. (and not because i love her so much) BUT BECAUSE I NEED AN ARM FOR MY JOB SO I HAVE NO CHOICE TO DISCOVER $150 EVERY TIME HE PLACES FOR NO REASON. Anyway, I think I have a rough idea of the pros and cons. Cons: - Heron Gear is the only seller of such a hand, so they can charge an outrageous price for it (I remember when that 5ft hand was only $100. What happened to it?) - The hand is from the cheapest Made of metal so it won't last very long under…

Great desk mount, surprisingly good tripod camera arm!

First of all I did not purchase this or use it for its intended purpose. This hand wasn't designed for what I made it, but it thrived as long as I knew how faucets work. TLDR: Okay, it gets better with mods. Sway in the wind. Would buy again. Great for home podcasts. See photos for outdoor use. I'm a photographer and need a scissor arm that I can mount on a tripod. The original goal was to give the 70" tripod extra height and stretch forward for tilted shots, e.g. B. A central shot of an exotic
