I ordered this to control my cat's vomiting hairballs. He has very short hair and hairballs used to not be a problem but it has been very hot this summer and he is getting older, for some reason he is shedding more than usual and this has caused him to pull out hairballs. . Wanting to stick with a product that had more natural ingredients and not a lot of chemicals, this treat seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, my cat didn't even try them. I tried giving him a treat first thing in the morning when he was very hungry and he just sniffed and left. I tried to put it in my pill case and again he sniffed it and refused to eat. Then I crushed one and mixed it well with half a small glass of food he usually likes for breakfast and he refused to eat that food. One thing I noticed is the smell (or lack thereof). There was no scent that I thought the cat would be interested in and it might have been more effective if there was a strong scent that would attract the cat. My cat loves freeze dried salmon which smells horrible but he is passionate about it. It was discouraging, I really hoped it would help. This can be a very effective product if the cat actually eats it, but I can't rate how effective it is because my cat doesn't touch it.
