Someone gave me an old Sony 5.1 speaker system from the TV. I used the speakers along with an AIYIMA amplifier to make a 2.1 speaker system for my laptop music station. I needed something for my tango room. The device comes in a nice packaging and looks well put together. What I really liked was the use of rotary knobs. I previously bought a Bluetooth speaker and you had to hold down the buttons to adjust the volume. I found this system problematic. Also, it's nice that they give you control over the sub-frequency cutoff. I used an extra power adapter despite being tempted to use an old laptop's power adapter. Also, I used a wired connection instead of Bluetooth. The amp/speaker combo won't win any competition for volume or clarity, but I'm more than satisfied with the overall performance and room-filling sound for my purposes. I hear no hissing or strange tonal artifacts. The device is getting a little warm, just so you know. I haven't tried the bluetooth function yet. Given the price and size, I don't think it could be much better.
