This set is great! It works with American Girl dolls and most 18 inch dolls. The eyeshadows are creamy and apply well, but the blush is very powdery and can go anywhere and smudge fabric bodies too. Lipstick works well, lip gloss too. All brushes also work well and many of them can be used. Although nail polish is pigmented and hard (does not stain dolls' fingertips or move after application), it is difficult to remove. In my experience I have to use makeup remover then put my nail under the nail polish and shake it off. It's usually a little tricky, but it comes out in one piece. The makeup remover works but leaves a shiny residue on the doll's face and requires a little rubbing with a shirt or paper towel to remove. This set is well made and offers a lot for the price.
