This is my second tinsel pop up Christmas tree! My first one was backlit, this one wasn't, but that doesn't matter because the light wasn't that bright on the first one. I ordered 16.5 feet of warm white fairy lights (with silver or gold wire) which wrap around the tree in a jiffy and really decorate the tree. The tree is easy to assemble, it is strong enough and takes up little space. i love this tree I'll probably get another one next season! A 12" wooden skirt is too small, try 20" to 24". This model is good, but some have a little weak center bar. I just put a tiny rubber band on each joint and it worked like a tiny washer. Those tiny ribbons that girls use for braids, or the tiny ribbons that are used for suspenders. You can also just use masking tape. The perfect tree!
