This product works as advertised. It opens easily and closes just as easily, if not in the same way as in the demo - I had to open it from the outside of the car and then insert it through the dash. Comfortable, lightweight and compact velcro fits well with the rear view mirror. However, the reason I ordered this particular item was because it "had to be suitable for an SUV", including a large van. This is not the case: there are about 3-4 inches on each side that are not covered. I think I should have measured the windshield before ordering just to check. But I didn't. I'll probably give this to my daughter for her little jeep (which I'm sure will fit) and I'll go back to my full size foldable accordion style sun visor. If the landing was a little wider (for me) it would be a good shield.
