I have just adopted a 10 week old kitten and wanted to spoil my new baby Nala. The product came in a large box and was fairly easy to assemble. It took less than 30 minutes to assemble and once it was finally installed Nala liked it immediately and started playing with the little mice hanging from the platforms. Although the carpet/faux fur material is very soft it doesn't look like it will last long. The same applies to ropes. I'm sure when the time comes I'll just rip out the old ropes and replace them with new ones. I took off two stars because the product arrived damaged. The average box house is made of cardboard and is torn on both sides of the arches. It's still pretty sturdy and still holding up, but the packaging needs to be considered. To sum it up, here are some of the pros and cons I'd like to point out: PROS: *Easy to set up *Instruction manual/nail dimensions were very clear *Sturdy base CONS: *Product arrived damaged Overall, this product is NALA APPROVED, but be warned. Keep in mind that due to the fragility of the box house, chances are it will arrive damaged like mine. ___Update: I sent the last one back and got a brand new replacement. It arrived in perfect condition and as before, Nala was glued to it. Like many of you, I rely on honest feedback from honest reviewers when researching a product and making a purchasing decision.
