I received the Charcoal Royal Quilt a few weeks ago and overall it's a decent product. While not overly soft, it's a nice smooth matte material. However, it tends to wrinkle frequently and easily. Just sitting on the bed when it's ready creates stubborn wrinkles. When it arrived I threw it in the dryer to fluff it up which was a good suggestion from the manufacturer. It fitted easily into our standard HE dryer. However, I'm a bit confused as to whether this product is intended to be used as a stand alone duvet or duvet cover insert. It has ribbing on the corners and sides indicating it can be used as a duvet insert, perhaps for some extra layers/warmth in the winter. In summer, this is a good option that isn't too warm and heavy, but offers enough protection to keep you comfortable with the air conditioning on. As mentioned, it's 'double-sided', although that simply means it's the same color on both sides and can be used on both sides. It's a bit small for our standard king-size mattress, with only about 10 inches of overhang on the sides. on the side. We need to tuck in the top sheet so that it is not visible under the bottom of the duvet. The product will also leave some "lint" or threads on our sheet set, although this may fade over time as the product becomes more worn. For the price this is one of the best options and the box design looks nice.
