I bought these shorts for my two girls ages 8 and 11. It seems to be getting harder and harder to buy shorts for girls as their style keeps getting shorter. They are now shorter than I am comfortable for my girls to wear. I bought these because other short cycling reviews complained about the thin material that you can see through their underwear. It is great! They are long enough and the patterns are still a lot of fun. My girls love wearing them and the little pocket on the side is an added bonus! I highly recommend these shorts. My daughters love them and say they are very comfortable
