It's a good weight but the color isn't brown or taupe or whatever they called that color. It has a greenish tint. Not much, but enough that I don't use it as a top cover to be seen. The pattern is beautiful, well made and fits my large mattress very well. I just want the color to be more like a tan with brown undertones. This is a very good blanket for the weight and size. And it's a great blanket for warmer weather, but you'll need a second blanket if you live in a colder climate like Michigan. I'm keeping it to use under another duvet that I like the color of. Delivery took longer than expected but the item was well packaged and in very good condition.
