Review on Makita HP2010N 4 Inch Hammer Drill by Nathaniel Collins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good drill but underpowered for more demanding applications

Bought this drill to mix small batches of grout (5 gallon bucket). from the smell of burning when mixing a full bucket. I bought a Milwaukee 5380-21 1/2-inch 9-AMP Heavy Duty Impact Drill a few weeks later, I'm much more impressed with Milwaukee, it delivers the goods without the obvious strain on the motor that the Makita does. indicates. As a contractor who was going to use this to mix buckets of mortar almost every day, I couldn't expect it to last very long. Since selling Makita and leaving Milwaukee. I think this drill will be more than enough for home and light commercial use, but for heavy duty and lower price Milwaukee wins by a wide margin!

Pros
  • Demolition drills and hammers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
