I think I was expecting something thicker since it's cast iron, but it's thinner than others I've had. But the worst thing was the smell. It had a strong chemical smell. Since it was a gift, I kept it in the closet. Well I opened it up as it was part of a gift basket and it stunk all over my closet. It's with my friend and the smell hasn't gone away for a long time. I soaked and scrubbed it but it didn't help. From does what it's supposed to, but I wouldn't order another one.
