Review on ALITOVE WS2811 12mm IP68 Waterproof Digital RGB LED Pixel 💡 Light: 50pcs/Set, Individually Addressable Round LED Pixels Module, DC 5V, Diffused by Patty Martin

I bought three of these LED strips and have used them on a number of prototype projects I am working on. I'm using a number of different ESP8266 microcontroller setups. The ADAFRUIT NEOPIXEL core library works great with them. Be sure to consider the power requirements if using all 50 LEDs connected to the Arduino. I have used ALITOVE 5V 10A and their 5A power supplies in several projects and was able to turn the LEDs up to full brightness. I use this power supply to power both the strip and the Arduino. The most important thing is to make sure the LEDs are grounded on the Arduino. Without them you will have unpredictable/random color changes. I also experimented with powering it through the Arduino - and as long as I kept the max brightness low the LEDs still worked fine. Another great option is to separate the LEDs from the strip and use them individually. I've attached some photos here showing these LEDs being used in my projects. I bought three of these strips and I know I will be buying more. Customer service in Alitov is the best. I received an LED strip with a 2 pin JST connector instead of a 3 pin. and after communicating through Revain's messaging system, Alitove replied very quickly and immediately sent me a new one, while the other asked me to keep it. I actually managed to use these LEDs in some other projects.
