Best thing that happened to my new room! They added a flat screen to the room but didn't want the cable box to be visible. I mounted the TV to a shared utility wall and placed the cable box in the room, drilling the cables through the wall to the back of the TV on the other side. Problem: I had to open the closet door to change the channel to the cord box. This 100% solved this problem. The IR receiver connects to the TV and the IR receiver cable follows the coax cable in the wall to the back of the cable box. I connected the wired remote to the Samsung TV. Brilliant! So cheap for such features.
