scalp protection! on Facial Moisturizers

I have to shave my head to deal with an autoimmune reaction caused by several industrial chemical cocktail concoctions ostensibly to "protect soldiers" during the Gulf Wars. After several rounds of active duty and subsequent VA treatment, I also developed a condition that resembled adult acne. While shaving has always irritated and dried out my skin, for years the pain from shaving, medication, moisturizing, and dealing with super oily skin outweighed the pain of the bleeding in my pillow. My current dermatologist - thank goodness - finally took the time to develop a comprehensive regimen for my particular manifestation of Gulf War Syndrome that included Cetaphil's Oil-Absorbing Moisturizer. I was initially skeptical because their attempt to get my scalp to produce less sebum seemed like a repeat of a previous Acutane treatment, but without the powerful liver-killing pills. Three months later, my complexion has clearly changed for the better. While my meds certainly play a big part, I've found that using this product causes significantly less sebum to build up on my scalp than a regular moisturizer or no moisturizer at all (I went out for Christmas). In turn, my papules and pustules are disappearing, although this process could have speeded up if I hadn't tried to grow out some hairs, which my body is still attacking after three days. Overall, based on my admittedly serious experience, I am pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of this product.
