Review on Lamicall Tablet Floor Tripod Stand by Joe Montalvo

risky for large tablets

I have a 12" Samsing S7+ tablet. I liked the fact that the stand felt like an exercise stand despite its light weight (1.6lb head), but there was a few issues 1 ) The support mechanism is actually a bar (two ball joints with a small crossbar in between, but there's no locking adjustment on the ball joint in the rack, and it quickly sank to a horizontal position under the tablet's weight. This isn't for me Really a problem, I like that it's horizontal at all, and there is some play to tilt in the other ball joint, but still frustrating 2) The ball joint behind the tablet has a threaded plastic collar and it is secured by screwing a plastic nut onto the collar This might be fine if you plan on keeping your head in one position, but I expect to hold your head quite often t to rotate from vertical to horizontal. This works against the pressure of the plastic nut. on the ball joint t. The benefit is that you don't have to loosen the knob to turn the tray, but their approach will cause some play over time, requiring more tightening of the nut until the nut can finally be tightened or cracked. It's just not a good long-term design. You will need at least one metal nut (and possibly a metal bracket). To return.
