America's Test Kitchen recommended a grill brush that costs over $50 (with shipping). That's too much for this humble griller. I looked closely at ATK's recommendation and found that it was just a stainless steel shield on a long wooden handle. This one has a similar mat and is $40 less. It does a great job, but use it on a cold grill. The handle is plastic and too short to clean a hot grill. The pillow is replaceable (cute). I wanted to avoid wire brushes as the wire could break off and get into the food and then me which could cause serious health problems. I doubt you will be disappointed with this item.
