Review on Oster 6706 Blender: High-performance 6-Cup 450-Watt, 10-Speed Black Blender by Bradly Illu

I drink smoothies every day. They consist of vegetables (cabbage/spinach) and various fruits that are partially frozen. And water of course. The very old blender I used didn't mix fruit well and I couldn't put frozen bananas, strawberries or even blueberries in it. I didn't have a lot of extra money to spend on a blender and when I found this one and read the reviews I thought for the price I might give it a try. I'm very glad I did. I start my smoothie by making a sort of "mash" of veggies and liquid. Thanks to this, there are not too many large pieces of cabbage in my drink. It breaks better that way. Then I add whatever fruit I want and blend for 45 seconds to a minute. The perfect smoothie. I never eat chunks in my drink. I don't grind ice cubes but I grind frozen fruit and it does the job perfectly. It doesn't make much noise (I make smoothies at one end of the house when my son sleeps at the other in the morning). over and he doesn't wake up) and I've never smelled any weird rubbery or burning smell. I'm very glad I bought this. I would recommend this product to anyone who makes shakes/smoothies and can't afford the really high end blenders that chefs recommend. I really only have one complaint (that's why I didn't give five stars) and that is the length of the cord. It's very short. I wish it was a little longer. However, that's no reason not to use and love this blender.
