They are so beautiful! I'm not sure which way they are supposed to be put in. Vause one way you see the design in the front and the other on the side. So I guess that just depends on how the person wants to wear them. But they aren't heavy and they aren't super big like I thought they were going to be. I wore them once and had gotten a ton of compliments.
