Very easy to connect. Splits the optical audio out from my TV into two paths. One for the sound bar. One for headphones. Can use either by itself, or use both together. Nice since I need hearing help, wife does not. I use the headphones and turn volume up, see hears from sound bar with blasting onto the neighbors house.
