I can't tell if I have carpal tunnel problems but I couldn't close my left hand let alone clench my fist, I only wear an allowed splint when I get up in the morning to clench a fist. Also, it eliminated most of the pain and tension in my fingers. The stabilizer is very handy if you don't over-tighten the straps. I wear it when I sleep and when I watch TV because my fingers tingle and hurt at that time. I used to have to drape my left arm under my waist to get rid of the tingling. The device is well thought out and well made. All in all a great product and we can only recommend it.
