I wouldn't give this "drive" to my worst enemy. it doesn't turn on out of the box. After it finally works, the hull fails after two months. After a week of trying to find a support number, I finally got a response on Twitter. When we talk on the phone, they try to tell me that it costs about $15 to talk to them, but since there's nothing he can do about my ride, they will "waive" the fee. I was sent to a data recovery specialist who said it would cost $600-$700 to recover my data even though this drive is 2 months old and still under warranty. I went to a local computer store and they installed a new $30 case and were able to recover my data. I literally warn everyone I know not to buy Lacie (or Seagate, because they're the same company) drives. this company's data, and DO NOT throw away your money and memories with this piece of junk.
