Review on BEAMTECH 9007 LED Headlight Bulb, Fanless CSP Chips Conversion Kit - Pack of 2, All-in-One Light Replacement by Christopher Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They look much better than halogen bulbs.

5 stars Initial rating, will be updated over time if necessary. Installed on a 1994 Mustang. Due to the use of a locking ring in the Mustang, I had to partially disassemble the lamp to place the ring on the lamp and then reassemble it. It really didn't matter; Allen key even comes with lamps. I made an alignment mark on the lamp to help assemble it in the correct orientation. The total time for disassembly, ring placement and reassembly was about 90 seconds. Installing the bulbs with the ring was a bit tricky with the bulb wires getting in the way, but total setup time took about another 90-120 seconds per bulb - most of the time was due to tightness when the headlight assembly was out of order. If they were installed, or at least not pinned, the installation would take a few seconds. My only complaint about the light being so white is silly that I decided to swap out the fog lights as well because they looked weird with their yellow halogen tint, and that was a $40 "problem" that I didn't plan on doing would have. Fan noise is not a problem. I would be surprised if anyone could hear the headlight fan over the engine noise. I can barely hear the fans sitting in the garage with the garage door closed and the engine off, and I certainly can't hear them over my engine noise/exhaust.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • has disadvantages
