Didn't fit, slight curve to my toilet

I don't think a product can be called universal unless it really is universal. "Fits most toilets" is true, but how do people know if their toilet fits best? A better description might be for square toilets or something similar. Look at the picture - basically the front of my toilet tank curves outward so I couldn't insert the handle without the lever touching the front of the tank. It didn't work for me so I'm sending it back.
