I've had the pleasure of using this organizer twice now when grocery shopping. I was tired of my bags sliding around and falling over. Tired of wedging bags in the corner of the trunk and sticking something heavy in front to try and stop them from sliding around.There are a ton of pockets interior and exterior, won't be using those myself. But they are there and probably handy if you need them.The organizer stands open perfectly without the hint that it might collapse on itself (so perfect for loading groceries into the compartments). The divider creating the smaller 2 compartments is attached with velcro and can be easily removed if you need 2 big compartments. The bottom is fabric (nothing sturdy there). And since it collapses like an accordion it would be tricky to have the bottom rigid. That said, I would not recommend lifting the organizer with bags inside it. They will just sink in the middle and the handles will probably rip off I would guess.
