I bought this product for my 12 year old son who is growing up and doing sports. I wanted to fight acne before it happened. He hasn't started getting them yet, knock wood, but as he's more exercised and getting older I wanted him to start washing his face and taking care of his skin before that awful puberty and hormones kick in . The scent is not bad in my opinion but the son asked if it was for girls. He's light and walks away, maybe he's just not used to "cleaning" smells, I don't know. It is very gentle and foams easily on the skin and rinses off. He was a little dry the first few days, only said the skin was tight. I gave him some moisturizer and he cleared and softened it. As a preventive and first step in skin care, I am satisfied. It's gentle and contains ingredients that are safe for his young skin. Can't comment on how it works on active acne but will update when/when the time is right.
