Review on Polar Vantage V2 Smart Watch: A Sleek Black Fitness Companion by Ada Niewiadomska ᠌

The product is really good, Im glad I bought it.

Bought in addition to Ignite (see review) All the same Polar, nothing fundamentally new. The change of dials is conditional, I would like more options. The weather on the screen is convenient for me. The screen is the same - pale, but always visible from any angle (a plus for me). As I said about Ignite, Polar is a watch for people who are confused by sports and / or simply monitor their health - it has a mega cool system for assessing the quality of sleep, fit spark - it suggests sets of exercises, and what about sports - profiles, all kinds of statistics , everything is very convenient, understandable and everything works. Specifically, the Vantage V2 has a little more information and several types of tests for runners and cyclists to assess your form. Whether it is worth overpaying for them in comparison with younger models is up to you to decide. But this watch (like other polars) is ideal for amateur athletes who do not have access to a coach and do not have time to study testing methods and programs on their own. Or there is time, but the opinion of the electronic assistant would be useful. Yes, you can do an orthostatic test without any smart watch at all, but you need to study the methodology and record the result somewhere - why, when a watch can do it? Yes, Fit Spark exercises are sometimes weird and maybe you know that dumbbell exercises will suit you more than pressing the press, but no one forces you to follow Fit Spark strictly, but when you don’t have your own ideas, spending 20 minutes stretching according to the watch guide is better than doing nothing. The watch does not live up to expectations: -professional athletes (how can some watch determine your shape better than you?) - who are looking for smart devices in addition to the phone. The watch is suitable for those who are familiar with the Polar system and in principle understand why to pay for Vantage. Ignite is enough to get acquainted, but personally I'm tired of poking at the touch screen in the cold.

Pros
  • Outwardly they look very cool, it's not a shame to wear every day (I'm a fan of classic watches and design is important to me)
Cons
  • There is a doubt that the dark coating of green and black watches will not peel off.
