This was my first experience with a battery. They worked fine, but if you're used to electricity, consider the following. The light isn't as strong as electric, can't see much until it's very dark. The light flickers and gives the impression of a real candle. They didn't get hot so I felt safe leaving them on all night. When switching on and off, it must be very close to the remote control.
